| Habrotrocha flaviformis; is a species that can build a house by weaving a net. Two glands (retrocerebral glands?) which range from the anterior part of the trunk to the neck provide a glue that is secreted through the rostrum. Analogous to the web-building of some caterpillars H. flaviformis presses the rostrum on to the substratum, a thread is produced and attached to the substratum for building a web around the body.
